Happy New Year -09

To think bad and negative is Sin to God
To think good and positive is Worship to God!

These were the first and foremost thoughts came to my psyche at the eve of this new year!!! felt wonderful and euphoric, and would try to inculcate it more in coming NEW YEAR! or for that matter in every coming moments!!!!. does it sound like a resolution ?? Oh c'mon, not at all. I want to give some sweet intimate kisses to this beautiful year '08, it had been a phenomenal calendar for me which laid the foundation for much gorgeous years coming ahead!!! Thank you ;)

I know there were so many things which could have turned better in our lives, in days bygones but may i propose to stop brooding over them and sit down in unison to welcome the coming new Year with a prayer for ourselves and our community!!

Lets strike a common chord
with peace and love for one and all
in lip sync can we try to sing?
the melody of an almighty king!
if all of us,  could join hands
and send millions of love errands
the dark clouds will have to go
to give way to a new rainbow.

and with this solemn prayer , i wish all of you a very Happy new Year!!!.
May God bestow you a lot of success, happiness, love and peace in every moment of it!
So,Raise the toast and welcome a new chapter of ours Lives!!!!

BigB blogs BigTime!!

We all have seen him, heard him ,but ,i doubt, if most of us have read him, I am talking about Mr Amitabh bachchan, the star of the millennium.its been some 6 months when he picked up blogging at BigAdda and is blogging big time day by day.So many stars started their blog in recent years, most of them for promotion of their movies only (nothing wrong in that) and to give a notion that they want to be in touch with the public, how i wish that was true ?

Two months back , luckily I got introduced to Mr Bachchan's Blog (http://bigb.bigadda.com/),read it and felt overwhelmed, joyous, proud and yes of course connected to him through his posts. No doubt , his writing is lucid , emotional, inspirational, honest, down to earth, bold and beautiful and definitely reflects a glimpse of his great father, Mr Harivansh Roy Bachchan.Like millions of his fans, I always loved Amitabh bachchan, the actor, but now, as i religiously read his daily posts,am developing a great sense of respect for him.Its really amazing that in this age (read 66) , he still has a vigour, enthusiasm ,determination and a very positive attitude towards his work and life, obviously he has nothing more to achieve ,and hence rightly so , trying out radically different genres and roles with mixed results.

Coming back to his writing, first thing i liked the web page of his blog, very aesthetic theme and color composition,Blog opens with a larger than life picture of Big B (which keeps on updating time to time),and a very sweet line from one of the writings of his legendary father. He writes without unnecessarily showing any mastery on language or any tantrums of a STAR but pens down very casually .....rather naturally , elucidating very mundane experiences on his sets , expresses his view  on life and happening around the globe, whether its Obama's election, 26/11, Indian's historic win against England or any other news of common man's interest. And there lies a trick , he simply passes some words of wisdom , a soulful insight on the life, or some very important tips for everyone , in those trivial and casually appearing articles, and , that's the beauty of his writing.

When I started visiting the blog , I was a bit apprehensive with its authenticity ,and can still not guarantee for the same, but as i read more and more , posts looked consistent , sensible and definitely written by someone with loads of experience and amazing personality and i believe its BigB himself, and within just 2 months i have become an avid fan of his writing style too , it daily comes in small doses and is quite nutritious to me at least , most of the times i could relate to his articles, feelings and his experience's. If you start reading the blog (.. if  you at all) , initially, it might appear to be a diary of day-to-day work of Mr Bachchan, but mind you it could be a great supplement for one's soul , a gentle guide or an energy booster for so many of us and if nothing at least it deserves to be read for its simplicity and beauty.

First intercourse!!!

First intercourse ..... ya first intercourse.... and all you Virgins..if you think is awesome..think twice,it's tedious, confusing and at times could be frustrating too. Think of an eternal horny guy, who one fine day gets it right,at the peak of hornyness meets his beloved ,jumps upon her immediately and .. f**k then he realises , how difficult is the first intercourse. He tries hard , more hard ,get confused ,astonished and all the hornyness evaporates in a sec..... A fascination meets the reality.

I had my first intercourse last month, yes my first intercourse with CINEMA and felt the same. For eons, i was having fascinating dreams about cinema, the medium excites me like anything and gives me a high even Tequila shots fail to meet. In my short-term film-making course in Pune, all the theory classes on direction, editing, sound, shots, scenes etc were adding enthusiasm into already brimming soul and i was dying to grab the opportunity to write and direct my first (short) movie ,and finally we all were called to submit our project.I  stumbled on the very first step, took the maximum time to submit  my story, reason , i had a rush of stories inside my brain and none of them were concrete. i was swaying my imagination too much and was presenting so many ideas ,alas, none of them were feasible in the given time slot,So when i finally submitted my story, others had started writing the screenplays.

Next task was to convert the story into a 10 pages(i.e. 10 minute) screenplay , which definitely gave , writer inside me a chance to explore the human psyche and behaviour. i sat down almost for 2 nights and finished a beautiful screenplay with some great lines , but next day most of my colleagues didn't vouch for it, for they felt it had philosophy. I agree, philosophy comes natural to me while writing and i took every one's critical comments with positive spirit but loved my screenplay for its content and dialogues, and i stick to it.

Once you finish you script, you look for the cast, and i tried to bring FTII graduates, and went the institute to persuade them , wandered the whole campus to meet a few aspiring actors, but timing was bad and none of them was ready to commit for a full day shoot and also most of them were leaving for Goa film festival, starting the same weekend, but thanks to a local friend in Pune, i finally managed to find actors just a day before my shoot day. After finalizing the actors, i came back to my lappy to work on shooting script ( the way scripts will be shot actually) . It again proved to be a overnight task and i got it in around 50 shots( Now i realise that was less, and i missed out on some very important close-ups).

And then came the D-day , when i was going to cap the director's hat ,i had planned the shoot to start from 8 am and whole crew was ready to be at my command. I reached the shooting location, drawing room of my friend and with great hopes, i framed my first shot, fixed the paraphernalia, explained scene to the artists and other things and as soon as looked into the camera, gosh .. it was dark , silhouette everywhere, room wasn't properly lit for camera, i meant room was full of natural light but camera needed more light to capture the scenes and before panic could have appeared in the atmosphere, i made a call for artificial lights , though its difficult to find a light man at eleventh hour, thanks to one of my local friends, he arranged for a light man with POTA lights, the light problem got solved in 3 hours only and shoot resumed. But there was more coming up and another problem popped out, so many scenes , which i had conceived in my shooting script, were not possible in the room and shoot got stalled once more, i had to rush to think of new shots and angles before i could resume. It was tiresome and time was flying quickly and i improvised some impromptu shots , there was no other way around to get back to shooting.

Everything was sailing smoothly now and i had completed around 25 shots when power cut hit us hard, it was already post afternoon and light was fading and we encountered the power cut, okay , we looked to each other and tried to smile, for it was something out of our control , luckily, i had a patience and understanding crew, so they took it sport and waited for the power. Power came after 3 hours around 6 pm and it was getting too late for all of us and i was left with almost half of the shots. Nevertheless, the team encouraged each other and we shot all remaining shots as quickly as possible. The shoot which was supposed to start at 8 am , started  at 11 am and eventually finished at 8:30 pm, after 9 hours, just for a 10 min movie, that too in one location.

Pack up call gave me breathing space and i sat down at my laptop, introspecting the whole day, feeling good that i could finish the shoot after quite a few glitches and analysing what went wrong , a few shots didn't come as good as i was expecting.I said good bye and thanked everyone single person on the set for their extended support ,thanked GOD , for he kept supplying energies to the crew, and then  took a beer and jumped into the bed for a lovely sleep, one, which brings you closer to yourself.

It is so beautiful to have a crush, it's even more grand to set yourself out for achieving your Love, its more important to face the realities and asses yourself , its of greatest importance to talk to yourself that ,yes, in spite of inevitable hurdles, you are passionate for making love and eventually its an absolute necessity to have Erections after every intercourse.

Luckily, I am still aroused :-)

Monologue of my actress

.... Working on a story , i stumbled upon a poetic monolouge of my lead actress, her relationship with the sea , where she , with her love , once had gala time and now both have parted , why and how, i have yet to discover!! story will come at its own but i present the opening monologue of my lead actress below.

Lensight : A beautiful collection of short movies by FTII grads

Did any one of you hear of "Lensight" ? if not, its a collection of beautiful short movies by FTII (Film & Television Institute of Indiagraduates, released under the title "Lensight" (http://www.televisionpoint.com/news2008/newsfullstory.php?id=1199266477).

I got hold of this DVD the day before yesterday, jumped upon it immediately , watched all the shorties and loved almost every film.Wow !! what an experience was that,a beautiful break from full length feature films and plunging into an ocean of creativity.Movies are in Hindi, English and in regional languages but with subtitles for audience's comfort. Each movie is fresh, innovative, gripping and tell stories in a novel style and make you feel that yes future of cinema in India is bright..A few are experimental movies , which choose abstract and symbolic stories with unreal and unique camera movements, but as a student and a cinema lover it is a treat and an enriching experience to see and analyze the art of story telling , editing, cinematography and script writing.

its an encouraging ,commercial and mutually beneficial venture both for students and banner. For cinema lover, they get to see around 20-25 brilliant short movies in one DVD and on other hand, students work gets a bigger and better exposure.I am sure, if the banner does proper marketing and promotions , it can generate good revenue out of the DVD sales. This is the high time that cinema, in its all form, should get more and more promotion and exposure as audience are growing big both in size and their receptiveness and are searching for different ,abstract and novel stories. This poses a big responsibility as well as gives a golden opportunity to students to explore the medium and develop new styles of cinema. Being a students gives one an invaluable chance to conceive the bizarre looking concepts, on screen and reap benefits from their success or failure, and its this trial of thoughts which improves and grooms them and cinema inside.

With this small article, i congratulate and wish FTII grads a bright future and lot of success in future.

Pune!!!

Okay , i am so tight , i cant wait any more ,let me ejaculate it first !
Pune weather is HORNY !!
hoooo.... now i am relaxed, and yes, in Pune for one month, and now you will definitely pose the eternal WHY ?
okay , the answer is, to attend a  short course on film-making , period.

1st November, i landed in Pune and what a respite from the horrible, humid and pathetic weather of Mumbai. It felt good to be away from, fear stricken city (for North Ind) for some time, but i know, i'll go back, for my destiny lies there!! or that's what i suppose or assume! ( thinking cost nothing ).Mumbai-Lonavala->Khandala.. , you follow this picturesque route to reach Pune and it's worth travelling...will surely come back to the GHATs of Lonavala's and Khandaala's with my GF soon ( Hope my GF finds me :D, i am not been able to find her) .

i am just 3 days old, but a few peculiar things ,i noticed in Pune..... first , you wont get a chance to see face of any of the gals, riding Scooty, for, they keep their faces wrapped around a cloth, why i couldn't decipher..but still trying... :( . Oh, did I tell you, scootys are all around in Pune and Priyanka Chopra as a Brand ambassador of Kinetic scooty has worked big time "why should guys have all the fun" ... ask the guys and they will express the same feeling " We always want gal to have fun with us".

Then comes the auto rickshaws , c'mon yaar, their meters run like anything, i travel to places and my daily Auto rickshaw bills are around 150 bucks, for hardly 10kms, i am f**ked up of their charges, and the way they fool me, every time i ask them to drop me a place, its obvious , they easily recognise me as an outsider and when i give them a pity look and say " i don't know the address, please drop me at X address", they know , i am an easy prey for them. The very first day, an autorickshawala charged me 150 bucks for dropping me a place which was not far from my originating point , but i was helpless.

I have very little time as the battery is dieing,(Scientists please work on developing Super conductors now , its enuf) , daily classes consumes around 15 hours (i am not kidding) , but its really worth attending and i am enjoying it, today was a bit free, and was feeling HORNY , so took out some time to wrap up , all i wanted to say in these lines, will surely try to sit again on my laptop and compose at least one more post soon, but now going for dinner and then into the bed, oh its already tomorrow (Current  time 00:44, 4th November and i started writing this post at 11:44pm, 3rd Nov), but yes , from my POV(Technical term in film-making means Point of View ),every tomorrow looks brilliant, better and brighter.

I wish you also a tomorrow , as you wish!!!
Good night and sleep tight!!

P.S: Dont forget to watch the trailer of Anurag Kashyap's latest offering Dev.D (click here for trailor)

Mumbai Diwali '08

Kal mangal deep diwali thee!!!

....and i guess it was the first time , i was out of my home in this festival.I missed my family , my friends, pooja rituals , joy of being with family, crackers , my small town and last but not the least , some delicious food prepared by my mother and sister , and i personally realised an old favourite quote "Absence makes the heart grow fonder", how true!!

Yesterday is gone and i try to re-collect my whole yesterday here in Mumbai,it was a good gathering and after gulping a dozen of Beers by our group ,the day before Diwali , we all got up late with hang-over hanging in every one's eyes. But soon we all were back and started the day with the Dipawali "Shagun" ritual, called Teen Patti (:D).Everyone took their seats ,ready with coins ,notes and luck.I was the only first-timer and took some time to learn the tricks of the game and in the process lost some money too, but it seems, i am a quick learner because, soon i was displaying my tricks and winning games continuously and when after 5 hours games halted , i was some 100+ INR in positive. Thanks lady luck and MaaLaxmi for shining on me, and i wish it continues life long [:)]. Its good that all the winning money went into a pool , created to celebrate the pooja.

Evening we all were charged up and roamed in markets and shop to appreciate the beauties out in traditional dresses , lighting and other stuff, and for some shopping too. Oh and i have a wonderful incident to share with. As we all were in market and purchased some Prasad, for pooja , one of my friends expressed a great desire to visit his neighbour aunt and wish her "Haardik Subhecha ( Best wishes in Marathi)".So a few of us, including me supported the idea and went to the aunty's place, what followed was hilarious!! . The real intention behind visiting aunty's place were her three beautiful daughters and we  deciphered it, only after entering into the home.

A beautiful rangoli welcomed us, and as we stormed in, were all taken back by the gorgeous ladies, we looked into each others eyes and shared the common and trivial feeling (warm dipawali).Originally we had planned to just pay a one minute visit but it lasted for more than 15 minutes and we distributed the sweets to the young ladies, greeted them with our praise and flirting and in response aunty too invited us to sit down and have some snacks etc and we obliged her :D it was only a friends call which recalled us that we had to go back to home and do the pooja , so with a heavy heart we said good-bye and came out. We had to buy the prasad again as that was left at aunty's palce, and the gals were still lingering in every one's mind.

We reached our place , got scolded , but once we explained the whole scene to others , they were frustrated and said nothing.Hurrr... now we came back to a religious mood, set up our small pooja ghar ,arranged the prasad (Haldiraam rosogulla :D)and offered our prayers to the Maa Laxmi , Ganesha and wished each other Happy Diwali!! (picutres attached) ,it was all boys Diwali this time and everyone was in pooja mood. It was already very late (read 11pm) and we then participated in the rituals of lighting candles and crackers and once it was all over, clock banged 12 and the day was over.

Another Diwali, another festival of the year got celebrated and I wish we all get blessings of God and celebrate everyday of our lives like a festival only.

Dog's day out :: RoadSide Romeo

Originally published on Passionforcinema.com

Author : Ajay Kumar Saxena

Every dog has its day!! Yes the same happened this Friday, with the release of Roadside Romeo. Animation found another taker, this time in form of YRF and in debutant hands of maasoom Jugal hansraaj. First thing first, animation is at par with Hollywood and its obvious, walt disney is co-producer of the movie and you expect at least this much from a proven production house .Walt-disney scores full marks for the animation quality , now comes the Yash raj brigade and they don't do bad either.

Okay, so story belongs to the Dog, Romeo, once a favourite pet of a rich family and once the family decide to move to London, dog is strayed and is roaming on Mumbai streets. It meets a band of 3 dogs, 1 kitten and 1 mouse to form a hair cutting band cum saloon and soon they are the talk of the town for styling the local dogs and bitches. But mind you, its Mumbai and doesn't matter where its humans or dogs, a DON is the need of the city, and we are introduced to the Bhai of movie, Anna, a bulky bull-dog with south-indian accent ,but yes it works, and works big time. What is Charlie Anna doing, he is collecting hafta from the local businesses, commands three Charlie's angles and a side kick Chennu (it isn't even remotely connected to Shotgun's character in Gulzar saab's debut classic Mere Apne!!).Oops! And you always knew, there is charming BITCH (... what else should I write, though in movie it says " mai aise vaise ladki nahi hoon", can I call her a girl, no i can't).Okay, cut this bitch/ladki crap and call her by name, Laila, a night club dancer and apna Anna is ga ga over her and of course Romeo is in love with her. The moon sequence, where Romeo and Laila meet, it's so visually rich and charming.

Story moves in typical bollywood ishtyle without little or no innovation, should I call it its demerit or playing safe?  But the filmy dialogues, Charlie Anna and animation keep you glued to the movie. Oh boy! I loved it, the climax, and a spoof on DDLJ's eternal Simran-holds-Raj's-hand-in-running-train sequence. Whoever pitched in this idea to the team, i hats off him! It works well and the characters are put to rest in one and half hour and it's something good that YRF didn't try to tweak the script to stretch the movie reels. Happy ending is what the audience takes back to home and it's a good Diwali Gift from YRF to the audience, especially the kids!!!.

Okay, let's do the cheer-faad of movie, animation top notch, script "play-safe" and Jugal hansraaj definitely deserve a mention for a neat and clean direction. Saif ali khan , looks more like Saif than a DOG or Romeo, Laila hmm.... Kareena's voice doesnt suit her, period. And it's the side kick, chennu (ha ha... bhaiya ab ka bataayein, aisan kaamal ka kaam karis hai ki bas pooncho na... lage raho bahiya..yes you got it right, he is our own Mr Sanjay Mishra ) who is in full form and delivering his C grade type (but effective) lines with aplomb and leaves audience in split every time he opens his mouth, he should be given a lot of credit, if movie mints good money. hirish virjey,k.k.menon and tannaz karim all have excelled in lending their voice to respective characters on screen and wait last but not the least hail the finest(now its unanimous) mimic of India, Javed Jaffery donning south indian accent and displaying a range of emotions apt to his character Charlie Anna.

Roadside Romeo is definitely a watch to laugh a bit and crack some laughter crackers in your life. Happy Diwali.
